solutions, announced that it will showcase its new NiGUARD
BRIDGE Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)
emergency backup
power system at the 2007 Electric West conference,
February 21-23 at the Long Beach Convention Center in
Long Beach, CA.
The NiGUARD BRIDGE battery system technology, based
on Cobasys advanced, proprietary Nickel
Metal Hydride (NiMH) chemistry, will be introduced
at the Power Quality pavilion as a reliable, scalable
alternative to flywheels. The Bridge system is capable
of delivering 15 seconds of power, 3 times within 30
minutes without recharge in UPS applications. It is
virtually maintenance-free, easily monitored, environmentally-friendly
and has a lower total cost of ownership. The system
can be expanded to an unlimited degree to meet higher
power requirements, longer backup times or redundant
backup solutions.
Cobasys designs and manufactures advanced energy storage
system solutions which feature NiMH battery technology
for transportation markets, including Hybrid Electric
Vehicles (HEV), Electric Vehicles (EV) and 36/42 Volt
applications, in addition to Stationary Back-Up power
supply systems for Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS),
